Prepare a precise enquiry

Describe the design decision

Briefly describe the space and intended atmosphere, then identify the current design stage. Useful attachments can include a reflected ceiling plan, room elevations, a luminaire schedule, control narrative or annotated photograph. State whether the question concerns visual comfort, colour rendering, beam distribution, suspension, driver location, dimming, lead time or a declared certification.

For calculation support, identify the modelling software and target metrics. Average illuminance alone rarely captures the full design intent, so note any vertical surfaces, focal objects, glare-sensitive viewpoints or dimmed scenes that deserve separate review.

Identify constraints and evidence

For retrofit work, describe existing wiring, ceiling build-up and access constraints instead of assuming a new-build condition. If a specific control protocol is required, provide the intended topology, minimum dim level and any sensor or emergency integration.

We do not infer configuration-level compliance from a general family statement. Where formal evidence is required, identify the installation country and approval route so the relevant declaration can be checked. Commercial responses remain subject to confirmed finish, quantity, destination and programme.
